An Audi On Your Desk

One of the relatives I visited this holiday season is an avid hobbyist/modeler, and we stopped by one of his favorite shops to pick up some supplies for an R/C helicopter he's working on. If you haven't been in a good hobby shop since you were young, it's a marvelous combination of deja vu and new astonishment. I was scanning the shelves of plastic model kits and found this one, which I bought along with the needed paints and some other assembly supplies. It's been a loooooong time since I assembled a model kit (and the Revell is difficulty level 4 of 5, so it's entirely my fault if it comes out looking like a Fiat Lada) but this was too cool to pass up:

Revell AG Germany 1/24 Audi Quattro Rally - 07246

A little internet searching reveals that quite a collection of Audi diecast models exists, including many of the newer models. For example:

And here:

Great. Now I'm working on Audis, macro and micro. Thanks, people. ;-)
