2.7T v 4.2 A6

I have an S4 wagon.  I talked my good friend into a 4.2 with sports
suspension and seating.  This is the nicest all around car I've
driven to date.  The 2.7tt can be 'faster' in certain powerbands, but
for driving around town and the fwy, the A6 chassis and V8 set up is
great.  I've driven a number of similar (previous model) cars from
bmw (530, 540, M5), mbz (E430, E55), saab...this is the one IMHO.

NOTE: Find one with the sport seats for sure...  Only issue is MPG if
that's a big concern, the 20mpg+ of the 2.7tt becomes more
intriguing.  The V8 drinks in town...fwy is better...

I'm looking to replace my current 2.8 A6 with either a 2.7T or a 4.2.

Is there a good reason to go one way or the other?
