Ok, well, haven't tested in 5th up to that rpm in a
while.  Come to think of it, that was what threw my
off-brand alternator belt out in the middle of nowhere
and provided for an interesting run on batery juice
back to the big city.  Sure works good in 4th though:)

The turbo's a 50 trim T04E compressor with a stage III
T03 turbine.  

Would be a pitty if I had to get a new GT30R dual BB
turbo to fix the problem....
