WorldPac parts listing error?

Cody,

Have you asked your local Euro/Bosch parts guy to cross-reference the fuel
pump against other VAG products? I seem to remember when I got a new fuel
pump for my urq that it was the same pump they sold for Golfs, all other
Audis, etc. They basically called it the generic Bosch fuel pump. ETKA of
course has different part numbers...

Where I'm going with this is... if you can determine that a 2nd gen
Golf/Jetta fuel pump will work, you can probably pick up a couple of those
used for cheap.

Good luck,

While we are here then, anybody know of a cheap source for a fuel pump for
my '88 80 and '88 90 4cyl cars? Both are dead (the 80 runs sometimes if you
tap the pump with a hammer, the 90 is just plain frozen solid), and my cost
is $175 at Worldpac, which is more then I paid for both cars. Both have
decent interior and the 90 has a nice exterior so I'd hate to scrap both of
them just because of an expensive fuel pump, but I'd rather put that money
towards some stainless for my 5ktq header. On the other hand if I make both
run and then sell them...
