200tq check engine light, but no codes!?

Ti,

This one does have permanent memory (MC-14 I believe). It still had 
codes stored in there from last years troubles.... but I will try your 
technique tomorrow as well.
It feels just like what is always described as knock sensor trouble 
(embarrased myself against a Mazda 6 today because the hesitation kicked 
in just when I really
didn't need it ;-).

I know what you're talking about though ... I use to have a few '84 and 
'85 turbos with this type of system.
