A6 oil leak

This is posted for a friend of mine with a '99 A6Q that has a
somwhat persisten oil leak. Her shop diagnosed a leaking valve
cover gasket, but that did not seem to help. Here's what they
say they think needs to be done now. Does this ring any bells?
