Huw Powell's site has a description with pictures
of a MacGyver-ish use of some plumbing pieces
to R&R bushings. It might inspire you to try the
same with wheel bearings.

I haven't tried it, but Harbor Freight has a set of
"wheel bearing adapters" for about $80. Probably
made in China, but I'm guessing it should work for 
the half dozen times you'll use it.
