I don't believe they are adjustable but some one with electronic background
may disagree.
It sounds like you have a 4 cylinder tach in 5 cylinder car.
A 5 cyl. engine at 4100 rpm produces 20500 ignition pulses per minute.
A 4 cyl. engine at 5000 rpm produces 20000 ignition pulses per minute.
