Which brand water pump?

   My 4kq needs a new waterpump, it's beginning to squeal a little bit 
though I can only hear it when it's unloaded like right after a small 
throttle blip.

  Care to guess for how much longer it will operate and what the failure 
mode will be?  The last one got so loose that the impeller actually came in 
contact with the back of the pocket in the block.  This one was from 
Performance Motor Cars (RIP) and is less than 6mos old, drat!

  Which brings me to my next question- www.bimmerparts.com has Graf, Geba, 
and GMB available; the Geba has a plastic impeller and costs the same as the 
Graf, about $40.  The GMB has a cast impeller (as does the Graf) and is $49. 
  Hmmm....  wish I could remember what's in there now.  Is one known to be 
better than the others?
