Right, like Jim says, good luck breaking a CV or Drive Shaft, the weak point in the system is definitely the clutch. The fastest starts I've found in my 80tq, and the one that got the 13.2 quarter mile and 1.8 sec 60' time was a smooth clutch slip transitioning to full engagement and WOT. Hold the rpm at 4500, slowly begin letting out the clutch while progressively applying more and more throttle, if you do it right you'll have full engagement by 5500rpm and some seriously insane acceleration, the first time I got it right I missed second, in fact I missed the shifter all together the acceleration was so violent. Oh yes, be sure you have about 350hp minimum as well.
