Hello All,
Last week I was battling a tiresome problem with the turn signals on the coupe. They would only illuminate about half brilliancy. Turns out it was a problem in the back of the fuse/relay panel. I cleaned up the contacts and applied some dielectric lube and I have my lights back. Now, running parallel to this particular issue, I was experiencing a hot start problem. As part of my troubleshooting experiment, I had the CSV disconnected. After I had the fuse panel out, I decided I'd check everything to ensure I never buggered anything up. Well, I now have to report there is a constant 12v to the plug for the CSV. Looking at the schematic in the Bentley, there is only 1 place for the 12v's to come from and that is through the Hot Start Pulse Relay. I hunted everywhere for that bugger and cannot find it. I have a sneaky suspicion that it is under/behind the passenger side dash. Can anyone confirm this?
As well, I'm having a heck of a time finding the proper sized o-rings for the Primary Pressure Regulator in the fuel distributor. Mine went south on me awhile back. I managed to get some from a distributor (a hydraulic supply dealer-and they were nitrile), but they are not exactly the proper size and the small one tears after approx. 150 miles worth of driving. I'm beginning to suspect that these 'weak' o-rings may have contributed to the hot start problems I was having. So, the question is, anyone know the size of the 2 o-rings, and if so, can they be purchased from anyone other than the dealer? The dealer here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, can only find a rebuild kit, which is basically a whole new valve body. And they want close to $100 for it. I would appreciate any guidance regarding these 2 issues. Thank you.
Dan
