Hi Matt - I used to own a 1978 VW deisel four door Rabbit, back about 12
years ago. When you turn on the key, there is a timer that is activated,
which allows the glow plugs to heat up. Check this circuit. I do not have
any manuals anymore, so this is from memory. Basically, if you set you
volt meter between a ground, and one of the leads to the glow plugs, you
should see volts. If nothing, then go backwards towrad the ignition to see
where you have lost the timed volt circuit. Tex.
