So, which are the "new" cars?  1996 and newer?  On a positive note, I might be lucky but my 1988 NG's breather hose is in one piece, once carefully cleaned from the yellow goo...  Another positive note - the car started this morning at minus 32 C, that's about the same in F units, without being plugged in (unplanned use).  Needed a minute or less of throttle massaging to idle on its own and off she went.  Long live Audi!
