88 audi 90 quattro won't cold start

help!
 
my damm quattro hates to start in the morning.
 
occasionally if I crank it  for a while it will start to turn over.....
 
then it starts.   
 
Then when the weather is cold. -6 in Denver will not start
 
ANY RECOMMENDATIONS
