86 4kq, idle problem (long)

Classic signs of a sticking idle control valve. It needs a cleaning. Colder
weather tends to make the valve stick. Congealed oily deposits.
Take out valve, clean it with carb cleaner or similar.
Test with 9 volt battery. You will see valve move and slightly uncover an
air gap.
I spray in cleaner. Put fingers over the in/out holes. Shake it around. Use
battery to work the valve. Shake some more. Battery, etc etc, etc . . .maybe
5 repetitions with clean fluid.
That should solve your problem.
