Carlsen Discount (was: 5ktq to urq)

For those of you frequenting Carlsen Parts.

I visited last week to buy filters and coolant (don't get me started)
for the S. (local).

Parts guy explained to me that "there is no such thing as the quattro
list and we no longer give discounts becuase it was being abused...I
can't tell you how many people call me with that..." etc...  But that
"they do give a quattro club discount if you have a card."

After briefly (nicely) disputing his "facts" I thought to ask the
group if there was history on this?

I did get $2 off my $19.50 coolant (VAG ba$tards).

P.S.  If I were a business owner would I just HATE to see hundreds of
customers calling me for business. ??? WTH???
