An old radiator blowing is not at all unusual. It depends
what happens afterwards that influences engine life. If
you catch it quick enough (shut down now), it shouldn't
be a problem. If you drive to the next exit because it
is close, things get real hot real fast. That heat could
warp a head. I'm guessing that a warped head lets what
little coolant is left into the oil, thinning it, and causing a
change pressure. That said, I've run my 200 out of oil
3 times (blowing oil cooler hoses) and the engine still
seems fine at 234K miles.

"Go crazy" like too high? I'm not sure what the "Oil
pressure release valve" is, unless it's in the oil filter.
Here's the idiot part -- maybe the engine overheated,
causing an oil temperature sender or oil pressure
sender to loosen, causing the leak. I'll let someone
smarter than me tell me I'm all wet.
