Odd power steering observation

Hi Andrew;
I notice the same thing on my '94 S4 (Servotronic disconnected) in cold
weather - the steering is light until I've driven the car for a bit, then it
gets heavier. Now that it's -30 outside, it's always light. I suspect it is
an oil viscosity issue related to oil temperature.

Subject: Odd power steering observation
Lately, I've been noticing that when I first start driving, the
power steering on my A6Q has an incredibly light touch. Almost
like someone snuck in and turned the servotronic (TM) back on.
After a couple of minutes, it's back to normal.
Pentosin getting thick in the cold weather? Tires? Tire pressure?
