Hi Y'all,

I tried to use VAG-COM to check error codes and also reset the service 
interval reminders.  VAG-COM reports that it could not open communications 
with either the engine or the instruments.  It was able, however, to 
connect with the HVAC controller.

Any idea what might be going on and/or work-arounds?

The patient is a '95 S6.
