Fed up....

I understand Igor's frustration, but I haven't reached that point. I'm
having fun with out '93 90Q (actually my wife is, and I can't get her out of
it long enough to drive it).

But this summer before we bought the 90Q we drove a couple of 3-series
Bimmers, and they were impressive. Great road feel, handling was excellent,
and more room (I think) than the 90Q. However, the Q had the AWD which makes
a big difference here in Colorado. And frankly, I thought that for the same
age car, the interior plastic materials were holding up better on the Audi
than they were on the Bimmers we drove. It also doesn't hurt that the 90's
trunk is a cavern, and the split fold-down seat backs (also found in the
Bimmers) are very handy. So the Audi won - and the price was very right.

But the 93 90Q has about 130K miles on it, and we're not going to drive it
forever. When we look around next, I will take a VERY serious look at the
BMWs with all wheel drive. The new 330xi looks very interesting indeed. And
by the time we're ready, there will be a bunch of three-year lease returns
ready for a new owner. Audis are wonderful and fun to drive, but they
better do justice to their public or they'll only be selling cars once -
without return customers.
