While I myself have been treated well during the 13 years and 400,000
miles that I have driven Audis, the f*ck-you attitude of AoA should come
as no surprise to anyone with a memory, and plenty of you have been
driving Audis a lot longer than I have.

Sooner or later, there were be another Unintended Acceleration-type
public relations fiasco (the reason that I was able to buy my first
quattro at a fire-sale price).  Sooner or later there will be a recall
handled even more wretchedly than the recent A4 timing coil debacle.
Sooner or later the imperiousness of AoA -- and their dealers -- will
have serious consequences.

But those consequences will not be felt because of the well-intentioned
hankie wringing on this list.  It will happen when Audi takes a hit in
the marketplace.  If you feel that srongly, vote with your feet.  Let
AoA know that your next car will not be an Audi.  Hit 'em where it
hurts.
