A car will always be a money pit, on warranty or not. They are evil
necessities. Strange how we become so emotionally attached to them and how
the driving experience can impact us so powerfully.

I'd never buy Japanese, but I'd buy an old Audi from a local private owner
if I felt right about the seller and the car. My last two were from
audifans.com sellers. One has had problems, but it was an old car and cost
$1000 bucks. Things will work out.

I love quattros.

Besides, old cars are easier to work on. I'm stoked that I'm learning more
about machines, it's cool and an interesting new intellectual challenge. I
like to fix things and I like to make stuff last.

Don't think I'll ever use carfax. And AoA hates me. But so does every other
car company on the planet because I'll never buy new.

Not sure if any of this even matters?

Interesting comments from everyone. There will always be 1000 ways to climb
to the top of a mountain. And a 1000 different lines to ski down.

When it's true love, who cares?
