dino to synth - Turbo problems?

Mark,
When i bought my subi it had been run for the previous 80k on dino, no
problems from the previous owner etc... on my few initial changes i stuck
with the dino, but after some research switched it to synth at roughly 100k.
It was recommended that i flush the motor before hand to help ease the
transition, ie get all the crap out before putting in the synth. I thought
the oil was dirty after a normal oil change, but I've never seen anything
like what came out of my motor after flushing it the first time. My thought
is that without flushing some of thos deposits would have come loose
eventually anyway and caused some real problems. If your gonna switch flush
the motor at least once before you do(if not twice judging from the
mileage), Gunk makes a good one. takes ten minutes to run through then drain
the old, put in the new. I think its in a silver can. I changed every 3k
for the first couple times then every 5k or so after that.
Regards
Brendan
