Ads on list, in favor!

Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is NOTHING wrong with an ad at the list! I don't understand this
fixation with trying to compartmentalize everything! When I see something ON
THE LIST I might decide to get it without going in specific to the Audifans.
Anybody heard of a "spare of the moment purchase"! This list is not a holy
site and purchasing parts from each other is a normal thing to do!
Heck as far as I am concern you could dump 50% of the messages that I
already seen in various forms hundreds of times and replace them with
members "Audi things to sell" how the heck am I going to find out about the
things that members are doing and trying to spread "as in selling".

Somehow I get the feeling that some guys think the list is some kind of
"Mecca with a black rock in it", in my humble view it is NOT, and getting
things from other members is part of the process! I could not make my Audi
run WITHOUT IT!

You all take care now,
Avi

I guess I'm a rebel. Seeing the occasional note about things like Dave
Kase's parted-out car is something I look forward to. The Audi marketplace
is organized in such a way that I find it extremely difficult to find
things. Heck, when I recently listed my 200 there it took me 10 minutes to
find the listing (partly due to failure to RTFM) when I already KNEW it was
there. I think it's hard to navigate and I don't really use it. Nothing
personal to anyone, as the list is well conceptualized and well run; just my
opinion.

Please also note that Dave's listing on Audifans did NOT get the results
that his post to the list did. To me, that proves his point. List-members
were better served by his post to the list than by his listing in
Audifans/Marketplace - they evidently don't go there any more than I do.

To me, a list member parting out a car is normal business, it's not a
commercial enterprise, and I LIKE seeing those notes. I know I don't get a
vote, but I have no problem with Dave's announcement.
