MAF sensor warranty-Fault codes?

Yupper, 
At least the dealership in Boston near me. And to top
it off, I asked the service guy if he could give me
the code so I could find out without having to pay, he
said no, "it's not good business practice" which I can
understand, liability and such, I tried to ask how it
was different from, him telling me, he then very curt
with me and hung up the phone on me. Now I am not a
businessman, but to me, haning the phone up on a
customer is "not good business practice"

Sure makes me want to bring my car to them.....NOT!
