Personally, I think it should be OK to post anything that it would
be appropriate for someone who has no financial interest in a product to post.

In other words, "hey, I found this cool new product which may be of interest"
is obviously OK.  So why preclude a list member from saying "hey, I have
this new product", once only and with a link to the details?

I'd rather have a few dubious posts than miss something of interest...

[BTW, IMO these arguments always seem to use more bandwidth than the
posts being discussed.]
