I feel like a relative newcomer to the list. I've only been posting for
a few years. I've tried to offer my knowledge in an unbiased form to
those who may benefit from it. Like some other people on the list in
"business"; we may have a higher level of expertise and exposure to more
situations. It's from this experience that we are able to increase our
own knowledge and try to share it with the list.
The fine line gets to be when we post to the list; how does someone
interpet the post. Different people may read different things in the
same post. It's our obligation as professionals to try and post as
accurately as possible and in an unbiased manner. Try not to start some
rants. I feel if I can share some valid info with the list; I'll do it
and give my opinions. We don't want things to get to the point of
censorship, or do we? I think that if those of us posters "in
business"; stick to posting in fields of their knowledge it can only
help the list. I feel OK posting to the Q list info about tires;
especially snow tires. I'm not going to post to the list offering
advice on A6 turbos or anything else I don't have the slightest clue about.
As Rodney King said "can't we all just get along". If anyone has
something to share that may help others; that I thought was the intent
of the list.
When some people complain about the bandwidth wasted about diffent sig
lines, etc; look then at the rants that start and use BW. how many
stupid posts have we already had about the sig lines!!!!!!!
I'm only glad someone didn't post anything about Torsens in their sig
line; everyone would be mumbling and ranting.
