OK - cracked it.

Rebooted, loaded a clean copy of Netscape (IE always failed) and lied to it - said I was in
the USA and not the UK.

(UK fails with Netscape too.)

Fun so far - it claims to have spotted a boot sector virus (Backdoor.Jeeemp.A) that
Symantec/Norton seems to have overlooked.

More when the hard drive stops rattling.
