That was the Suzuki Swift, I've seen a few in the US but I can't recall what
they were called.

I once owned a 3-cyl Swift, that was a great engine! 55 hp from 998 cc, on
full song it sounded 
like a 911 flat-six. Pity the bodies didn't last...
