Climb to the Clouds...

Heres the latest on the Mt Washington climb to the clouds.

I think we should all spam him with pleas  ;-)


Thanks for your e-mail.  The CTTC as we once ran was a great event and 
we very much enjoyed putting it on.  But the economic realities for us 
were tough.  It was a very labor intensive and expensive event to put on 
- even with money from Audi - we barely broke even,  a  loss in some 
years.  We had to close the Auto Road (our main source of income) for 
much of the weekend.
 
In addition, we did not receive a lot of support from the media which 
hurt the event.  Our decision to discontinue the event was not easy, but 
was based on these realities.  We explored putting on a "scaled down" 
event, but we just did not feel comfortable with downgrading it.
 
As of now we have no plans on bringing back the event as we all knew 
it.  It would take a very committed sponsor for this to get on the table 
for discussion.
 
So, as much as we loved the event too, it boiled down to a difficult 
business decision.
