See if Brullen makes one for your car. www.brullenexhaust.com
Nicer than Stebro as far as finish and sound and you get to customize a bit!

Subject: Stebro exhaust on 4kq

Peter,

I have one on my wifes '85 4kq - I love it and she does too. It makes a
great sound when the car is started and nice tone when accelerating, yet
when cruising it quiets down nicely, so there is no annoying drone on the
longer cruises. I intend to take this one off and put on my '87 Project
GTQ with NG engine - since it is stainless, it is still in great condition.

With the Stebro, 264 cam and 6 deg. of advance, the engine pulls easily to
the redline, which it didn't do before.

Fitment was not perfect on mine which is several years old now, but I
understand they made some improvements.

So in short, Stebro is louder, but it is a nice kind of loud.

Ben

Is anybody running the stainless cat-back exhaust from Stebro on a 4kq? I'd
like to go with the stainless for durability but I'm concerned about the
noise. It says 3-4 dB louder. Any comments on the noise level or sound
quality? I don't want my car to end up sounding like a H*nda Civic. Other
comments on the general quality and fit-up would be good also. I see I can
get the OE replacement from Ansa or Bosal for about 1/2 the price of
stainless. I'm torn...
