OK, check the positive side of the coil. It should have 12V when the key is
on AND while cranking. Then check the Neg Side for "Switching". A test light
should flash while cranking. If not, you either have a bad Ignition control
unit, a bad Hall Sender, or a bad connection somewhere. If you are getting
flashing, you probably have a bad coil.

I have positioned (for sure) the cam to #1 TDC. I have inserted the
distributer with the shaft key aligned to the mark on the out rotating
housing. I
replaced the rotor and cap. All wires are in good working order and
connected. NO
START.
I remove the #1 spark plug, plug it into the wire and ground the bottom of
the plug and have some one turn over the car . NO SPARK.
Where do I go from here? How can I test the coil ?
