Dan,

There is some anecdotal evidence that seems to indicate that an early 
change (less than 10,000-15,000 miles) to synthetic oil in Audi engines 
leads to excessive oil consumption.  I know it's 'earl;y days' for you yet, 
but it would provide another 'data point' if you could post an oil 
consumption figure to the list (or send me an off-list email) when you hit 
the 15,000 to 20,000 mile mark (or so).
