engine/ ecu interchange 80Q

I have recently found an '88 80 non-quattro for sale cheap,
and I was wondering if the ECU and other engine electronics
are the same as my car of the same year, but quattro.  I
have a few fault codes that pop up occasionally, and it
would be nice to have compontents to swap in.  I'll probably
also get the black leather interior....anyone know of
someone who can repair the side bolster on these leather
seats? The driver's side has a big tear in it.   Thanks.
