Bose problems (repost)

Sorry for the repost,  for some reason I didn't get a copy of it from

Hi everyone,

The Bose system in my 92 100CSq started acting up today.  The speaker
in the passenger door emits a loud low pitched tone anytime I turn on
the radio.  From what I can tell all the other speakers are silent. 
I've had this happen once before and shutting off the radio and
turning it back on fixed things in the past.  Is this a failure
symptom with the Bose speakers?  Can I expect to see a small fire from
that amp sometime soon?
