Window Screech

Well, mine does this too, and as far as I've been able to tell it's 
because the window was broken out at some point prior to my ownership, 
and replaced. I can tell this because the drivers side window is a 
different brand than all the other glass in the car. What I think is 
happening is that a small piece of the old window is stuck in the 
channel and scratches up against the window as it raises and lowers. 
Since you can't see that edge of the glass any scratches produced that 
way wouldn't be visible.

That said, I've been too lazy in 3+ years of ownership to do anything 
about it.
