Smoking 1990 200 tq

I seem to remember a past thread on this subject, but has anybody experienced excessive smoke from the exhaust while at idle in a 200 tq.  If I idle in a drive thru or in traffic for any length of time, my car will smoke for a short period until the oil that I assume is leaking down is burned off.  I have not observed much smoke during regular driving.
