Last Minute Waterfest Help Needed...

Hey Gang,

It's been a LONG time since I last posted here...and, I'm afraid, I haven't kept
up with the archives. My job over the last couple of years has made dealing
with an email list such as this very difficult.

I'm hitting the list with this request because I'm going nuts trying to solve an
issue in my car.

I spent the last weekend completely re-wiring the rad-fan system, headlights,
rally lights, windshield washers and wipers, horn and a few other
rally-specific bits in my 1989 90q.

I have not been able to solve my instrument cluster problems, however.

Pulled it apart, found the broken solder joint and repaired. The speedometer/ODO
still doesn't work. But now the whole right-side lights and fuel gauge don't
work either.

This is a problem! I need either the ODO or a fuel gauge to figure out how much
gas I have left in the car :-) It _appears_ that my low-fuel warning in the
auto-check system is still functioning but it went off today with 20L left in
the tank...so it's clearly not reliable.

Can someone check their bentley to tell me what the Ohm reading on the fuel
gauge is supposed to be at empty and full? I am leaving for waterfest from the
office...and didn't bring ol' bentley here with me.

Nine hours with no idea of how much gas I have is NOT my idea of a good time!

-Dave
