High Performance (Street) Tires

I too vote for the Kumho Ecsta 712 as a CHEAP street tire that well
outperforms its price.

I have them on my '88 80Q. I've driven them on the street for several
months (since .... February of this year). After a good bit of hesitation
I tried them on the track for a couple of sessions each at two different
events. They performed well and you can't even tell they had been driven!
This contrasts with the heavy scalloping and chunking I endured on
the old Bridgestone RE71, Yokohama AVS Intermediate, and Dunlop SP Sport
5000 street tires when I alternated them with my track tires.

p.s. - I'm still looking to find opinions from folks on the Schrick 272
and 276 cams... do they pass WA smog?
