BTDT except on the 3 or 4 i have done it has been the pedal itself the has wore. It wears at the connection to the clevis for the push rod. It requires a new pedal. The only bushings I am aware of is at the pivot for the pedal and these wear very slowly. I have also seen clutch master cylinders that get gummed up an won't return all the way. This creates a large amount of play in the pedal too. You have to make your self real small and climb under the dash and move the pedal back and forth and see where the play is at. I might know where a pedal is if someone needs it.
Good luck.

BTDT? Not yet, but it appears I have the exact same issue on my 4kq as you
do. There's a plastic (I think) bushing in the pedal that is likely worn
away, exactly as you have guessed. Apparently it's still available at the
stealership, and is inexpensive.
I'm sure someone will chime in with details.
Cheers, Brady

It almost looks like the pedal has worn from a round connection to an
oval shaped one..
Anyone BTDT?
