Hi
If you look in the pages of turbo magazine for the past year Bob Norwood has
been developing and tuning on e of the magazines project cars... It is a v6
powered blown and turbocharged Mr2... They have had good success with
their set-up and have tried various combinations of blower/turbo just blower no
blower etc....
Also, the detroit Diesel engine company has for many years placed large
turbos on top of the blowers in their 2 cycle diesel engines. This can be used
quite effectively to make more power. And could even theoretically produce a
blower overdrive effect where the pressure from the turbo is actually driving
the blower and putting back some of the power lost from driving the blower.
This will only work with a positive displacement or screw type
supercharger... I am not sure what would happen with a centrifugal type or a VW
g-lader......
Ul;timately I think more power could be gained by using two larger turbos or
one very large turbo but the bottom end power will be softer than it would
probably be with a blower installed...
