Nope!  Just use the pad.  Check that the bottle says something about 
being safe for machine-use (some hand stuff is way too aggressive for 
machine use) and you should be using a damp pad.  When I work with 
pinnacle paintwork cleanser, I also spray a little water on the panel 
from a spritzer. Helps keep it from drying up too fast, but this may 
not be OK with all goop.

The instructions say this, but just to pound it home- start and stop 
the buffer ON the paint!  I know that seems absurd, but it's true. 
Also, don't let the buffer free-wheel; it's apparently not good for 
the random-orbital thingamabob.

You can, but it's so easy to just use a big towel.  Usually you try 
to put down a tiny amount of wax, so it should buff off cleanly and 
easily with a large 100% cotton towel.  Snipping the label off will 
help avoid scratches, and launder with no fabric softener.
