I don't think there is such a thing as the 11mm tool (at least not avail. to consumers...). I'm also 100% sure they are 12mm, as I just replaced mine w/ new OEM ones. Maybe your's are damaged somehow or maybe they're torx or something different than triple-square. It would be interesting to see what's going on there....

I have a 10mm and 12mm triple square. The 10 is too small and the 12 is
too big - I just tried about 10 minutes ago at home. I suspect it is
11mm triple square, which I cannot locate, locally....
