Time to go Turbo shopping

Hi everybody,
At 162K the turbo on my 86 5000CS TQ is starting to squeal its song of 
death.
A quick check of the shafts looseness confirms this, it won't be long now.
I would like some input on what I should consider buying.
Here's what I have to the engine so far:   18psi chip, 3"exhaust from 
turbo back,
single pass intercooler, ABT cam, MSD Ignition, wires, and coil.
The fuel system is stock, and doesn't have a problem supporting what I 
have done
so far.
I have been thinking about a K24 since it will spool up faster and still 
support 20+
psi applications. Anyone BTDT? Please let me know what you suggest and 
what you
have done.
