How do I tap into speedometer signal and back up light near the dash?

You can at least find them both near each other at one place - the 
multipin connector going to the transmission.  Or maybe the speedo 
signal is a separate connector (I don't quite remember), but they are 
both down there near the engine/tranny junction on the port side.
