That IS, only IF there are suitable electrical 
supply houses around. Where I live (commercialville)
the only supply houses (and even worse, Home Desparate)
have only house (solid) wiring, and no relays (when
is the last time you saw those in a house?). So, I'd
have to order components from McMaster-Carr, which is
ONLY in bulk (anyone need the extra 99 harnesses I 
could build?). So, pre-built harnesses are often the
only reasonable option, unfortunately.

I don't bother getting a pre-made harness, as much of the time for work to be done will be necessary regardless of if the wires are pre-cut to the correct length, etc.  The additional time save is merely for the crimping of the terminals which only adds about 1/2 an hour.
