What lubricant for injector and insert O rings?

I believe that oil will break down the rubber - over time.
I just installed a set a couple of months ago, and the manual
recommended using gas to lube the orings, but I used a 100% silicon
oring lube.  They went in soo easy.

Which would make sense, and you probably have enough lying around right 
now to make it easy.  But engine oil works well and is a little safer to

play with.
