need help with crankshaft main bearings

Thanks for your response.... it is actually the cap and not the actual 
bearing that is stuck due to the thrust washers. I pulled the bolts and it 
just sticks up there. I consulted the bently and it shows the "thrust 
washers" retain the cap. The cap is what i need to remove in order to 
replace the bearing shells. sorry I wasn't clearer the first time.
