Hi Ben,
I'd have expected the engine code to be the KV 138bhp (fitted to the UK
market 90 and CGT), as the KU was similar but I thought only fitted to the
100 (and a bit less powerful).
If it does turn out to be the KV then let me know, as I'm familiar with
them in non-emissions mode, ( I presume you don't have a cat equipped car?)
and can check stuff against my car..btw timing for both KU and KV is 17-19
BTDC at idle (800rpm) Vacuum hose on.
Your ISV may have a problem, but it may be related to some bad
vacuum/breathing plumbing. There is also a ISV control module in the relay
rack that is usually reliable but may have issues.
