Fan speed problem for 4kq...

Hi All,

Can anyone confirm with me that an '87 4kq has 2 radiator fans speeds?  I 
bought the car about three months ago, it always runs very hot - even in 
cooler weather.  And recently I realized the fan only comes on on what seems 
to be the high speed, once the temp guage gets up there.

Any ideas of what to look for, or how to diagnose?  I haven't bought the 
Bentley yet, so any help would be really appreciated!
